Description

Summary/objective: The Construction Manager will join the Guardian team in order to ensure smooth operations of various construction projects. Responsibilities: Manages design/build, construction management, or construct-only projects from project assignment through completion. May be responsible for managing concurrently more than one project. Accountable for all construction activities on assigned project(s). Serve as a liaison between Company, subcontractors, and construction teams on basic project issues. Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. Maintain close relationships with clients to resolve all project questions, such as, but not limited to, technical requirements, completion requirements and billing inquiries. Review with manager all project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and all other factors, which may significantly affect staffing requirements or budget. Supervise work of project personnel to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards. Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements. Define the scope of assigned projects and develop plan to accomplish projects. Monitor progress toward deliverable schedules. Compile project status reports. Review job cost sheets and assist with preparation of monthly billings. Ensure assigned projects stay within budget allocation. Assist manager in securing repeat business from existing clients and identifying new clients.
