The Inventory Control Operations Manager manages all operations related to inventory validation for the Distribution Center and delegates tasks to a team of Inventory Control Managers and Assistant Managers. Through this important work, the Inventory Control Manager impacts customer satisfaction, store profitability and Academy’s Mission.<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><h2><span>Job Description:</span></h2><p><b>Education</b>:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work Experiences: </b></p><ul><li>7+ years’ experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures</li><li>5+ years’ supervisory experience</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Skills: </b></p><ul><li>Basic knowledge of accounting fundamentals; stock ledger, balance sheet, GL impact and credit/debit</li><li>Demonstrated ability to facilitate change , directional shifts and make strategic decisions without having all of the information available</li><li>Organizational and prioritization skills that allow the coordination and execution of multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously</li><li>Effective communication skills; active listening, written and verbal</li><li>Proficient in Windows, MS Office, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and AS/400</li><li>Proficient in MS Access and data analysis</li><li>In-depth knowledge of supply chain distribution related to distribution centers</li><li>Strong Interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration across all shifts, DCs and divisions</li><li>Analytical skills and strong attention to detail</li><li>Problem solver; able to gather data, compile information and prepare reports to senior leadership</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li>Ensures all compliance expectations are met; facility counts, record retention, audits, key and non-key control processes</li><li>Ensures compliance in maintaining internal control documentation, effectively performs internal controls, remediate internal control exceptions and responds to internal/external audit requests</li><li>Responsible for adhering to all accounting/auditing requirements&nbsp;</li><li>Oversees all special projects related to inventory for the Distribution Center</li><li>Manages a diverse workforce of 100+ associates, including training, scheduling, evaluating, corrective action and terminating</li><li>Analyzes inventory accuracy results and implements processes and procedures to address &nbsp;inaccurate inventory</li><li>Present shrink analysis summary for period close for Accounting</li><li>Analyzes operations, develops and implements processes/procedures to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness</li><li>Coach and mentor distribution center team members</li><li>Communicate with corporate, stores and distribution center departments to troubleshoot and answer questions effectively and efficiently</li><li>Ensure that work is performed according to standards, policies, procedures and safe practices</li><li>Facilitate meetings as required</li><li>Duties may change and team members may be required to perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Physical Requirements &amp; Attendance</b></p><ul><li>Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties</li><li>Constantly stand, walk, sit, climb, and perform repetitive motions (hand/wrist/fingers)</li><li>Frequently required to kneel, crouch, crawl, use fingers, grasp, push and pull</li><li>Constantly push and pull 5 to 40 pounds, and lift 2 to 25 pounds</li><li>Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior</li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p>Full time<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><h1><b>Equal Opportunity Employer</b></h1><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><span>Academy is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate with regard to employment opportunities or practices on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, or any other category protected by law.</span><b>​</b></p>",
