We’re looking for a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Senior Backend Engineer</span> to join us in the development of the backend ecosystem that powers our real-time AI data processing.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This data pipeline relies on <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Django APIs, Kafka-based event streaming </span>and ranges from APIs to serve our <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">mobile application to data export services and back-office portals. </span>This is a high-impact role where you will bridge the gap between our current success and our future vision, absorbing deep architectural knowledge from our senior leads to modernize our core services while maintaining the momentum of our global client deployments.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Initially, you will focus on the evolution of our current production environment, delivering high-value features and ramping up on the architecture of our existing AI data pipeline. Once you have established a deep command of these systems, you will pivot to a central role in our next-generation transformation. In this phase, you will help the ambitious architectural overhaul required to transition our platform into a modern platform capable of supporting advanced workflows and sophisticated new data modalities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Do</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Short term (0-6 months):</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Onboard onto squad core Django services</li>\n<li>Take over maintenance, feature delivery, and incident response on these services</li>\n<li>Begin learning the data pipeline: Kafka-based event streaming</li>\n<li>Participate in code reviews across the backend</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Medium term (6-12 months):</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Own the data pipeline alongside existing engineers and contribute to its consolidation</li>\n<li>Start contributing the new back end to support advanced workflows and sophisticated new data modalities</li>\n<li>Help eliminate single points of failure on under-covered services</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Long term:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Become a backend pillar of the squad, capable of working across any service</li>\n<li>Co-own the Dynamic Forms backend architecture Become a core member of the backend team.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical environment:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Core stack: Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Celery</li>\n<li>Data pipeline: Kafka, Debezium, Risingwave, Redpanda, BigQuery</li>\n<li>Infrastructure: Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, GCP</li>\n<li>Deployment: Mix of independent services (on-demand) and bundled monthly releases</li>\n<li>Integrations: REST APIs, Algolia, computer vision services, generative AI</li>\n<li>Services: multiple services, APIs, data pipeline, client portals, export systems<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Bring</span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><em>Essential skills &amp; experience:</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of professional backend development experience</li>\n<li>Strong experience with Python and Django (or equivalent web framework with willingness to switch)</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL), query optimization, data modeling</li>\n<li>Experience with Kubernetes and container-based deployments</li>\n<li>Comfortable with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and production operations</li>\n<li>Fluency in English is required.<br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Nice to have:</em></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)</li>\n<li>Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture</li>\n<li>Familiarity with Terraform, GCP, BigQuery, or data pipeline tooling</li>\n<li>Some frontend ability (TypeScript/React) for occasional fullstack contributions</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mindset</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>No ego: we value kindness, open communication, and mutual respect</li>\n<li>KISS: simplicity over cleverness, pragmatism over perfection</li>\n<li>Breadth over depth: comfort with context-switching across many services is essential</li>\n<li>Ownership: you own your services end-to-end: code, deployment, monitoring, incidents</li>\n<li>Knowledge sharing: documenting and pairing are part of the job</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Team</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Collect squad: 7 engineers, 1 QA, 1 PM, 1 EM.
