This role focuses on the holistic care of patients with severe mental illness. \\r\\n\\r\\nEssential Responsibilities: \\r\\n\\r\\n\\r\\n\\tComprehensive Physical Exams: Conduct thorough history and physical examinations (H&amp;Ps) for newly admitted patients to identify and manage underlying medical conditions. \\r\\n\\tInpatient Medical Management: Diagnose and treat chronic and acute illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease) in psychiatric patients. \\r\\n\\tMultidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, and pharmacists to provide integrated, holistic treatment plans. \\r\\n\\tMedication Management: Review and manage patient medications, paying special attention to potential drug interactions between psychiatric medications and medical treatments. \\r\\n\\tConsultation &amp; Triage: Provide consult-liaison services on mental health units and triage referrals to external specialists when necessary. \\r\\n\\tClinical Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in compliance with state, Joint Commission, and regulatory standards.
