    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p>Prep is responsible for blade preparation before final assembly. The Prep Operator will complete mid and final prep operations using a series of different abrasive wheels, sanding belts, polishing compounds and fixtures to produce the desired blade finish for further processing or final assembly.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>SCHEDULE:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Day Shift:</strong> Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM.</li><li><strong>Swing Shift:</strong> Monday - Thursday, 4:15 PM - 2:15 AM.</li></ul><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Comply with all standard safety practices, company rules and policies.</li><li>Verification of complete and accurate paperwork before further processing.&nbsp;</li><li>Visual inspection or parts pre and post completion of prep operations.</li><li>Understanding QA visual tolerances set by Buck Knives.</li><li>Complete all prep operations ensuring that all parts adhere to Buck QA standards.</li><li>Managing time between baders to ensure there is no disruption in final assembly.&nbsp;</li><li>Changing out wheels and belts on baders as needed.</li><li>Inform Lead/Supervisor of any and all quality deviations, mechanical issues, QA/engineering support needed and process nonconformities found.</li><li>Logging steps and accounting for time accurately within InvTrack.</li><li>Area cleanliness requirements are kept updated by each shift.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management.</li><li>Excellent time management abilities.</li><li>Manual dexterity and ability to manipulate small parts repeatedly throughout the shift.</li><li>Visual blade inspection with a high degree of scrutiny.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to lift 40lbs regularly.</li><li>Must be able to remain standing for long periods of time.</li><li>Must have the ability to discern where help/disposition is needed.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret work instructions.</li><li>Must possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and professionalism.</li><li>Able to work well independently and as a team with little supervision.</li></ul><p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>GED/High School Diploma or related experience and training.</li><li>Experience working within a manufacturing environment a plus.</li><li>Experience with visual inspection or holding parts to visual standards is a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel parts; reach with hands and arms. &nbsp;The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds for the duration of the shift. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. &nbsp;Hearing and eye protection is required while working on the production floor.
