Flatiron's 2026 Intern Program provides challenging and rewarding work opportunities for college students. As a Safety Intern you will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge and training in a real-world setting.  Under supervision of the District Safety Manager or Project Safety Manager you will be assisting with facilitation of the company's safety program. As a safety intern you will learn about construction activities, scheduling, risk assessments, planning, and implement corrective measures as necessary.</p>\n<h2>What you will be doing</h2>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Reporting and tracking of orientations, training, audits, incident reports, and other related documents, as well as recordkeeping of related document</li>\n <li>Assists in reporting incidents/accidents, investigations, root cause analysis and submitting reports as required</li>\n <li>Responsible for liaising with the safety personnel for investigations, medical and various other reports</li>\n <li>Order safety supplies as required</li>\n <li>Coordinating safety events as directed by the District safety manager or Project Safety Manager</li>\n <li>Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries</li>\n <li>Understand the process for submitting invoices, reports, memos, letters and financial statements using word processing, spreadsheet, database and/or other presentation software such as Microsoft Office</li>\n <li>Support staff in assigned project‐based work</li>\n <li>Maintains knowledge of Flatiron’s company values and strategic plan</li>\n <li>Support published corporate policies</li>\n <li>Perform additional assignments per management’s direction </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What we are looking for</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be currently pursuing a bachelor or master degree in Safety, or related major, from an accredited university.</li>\n <li>Must be results oriented, high initiative, ability to influence others and work in a team environment</li>\n <li>Must have strong judgment and high integrity.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why work for us</h2>\n<p>Some of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off program</li>\n <li>Industry leading 401(k)/RRSP</li>\n <li>Medical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vison and/or Provincial Medical</li>\n <li>Wellness benefits & Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We are an EEO/AA/ADA/Veterans employer.</p>\n<h2>Salary Min</h2>USD $22.00/Hr.\n<h2>Salary Max</h2>USD $26.00/Hr.",
