The Quality Engineer will not only investigate and lead corrective actions but also&nbsp;<strong>guide a team in implementing preventive controls, developing robust quality systems, and driving performance excellence</strong>.</p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Leadership &amp; Oversight</strong></p>\n<p>Supervise and mentor quality team members, providing direction, training, and performance feedback.</p>\n<p>Assign and prioritize quality engineering tasks to ensure alignment with plant and organizational goals.</p>\n<p>Drive accountability across the quality team, ensuring consistent adherence to workmanship standards and audit requirements.</p>\n<p><strong>Quality Systems &amp; Continuous Improvement</strong></p>\n<p>Lead root cause analysis efforts and ensure the development and implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.</p>\n<p>Facilitate the creation and approval of&nbsp;<strong>PFMEA, control plans, and process flows</strong>&nbsp;for both current production and new product development.</p>\n<p>Oversee audits of the&nbsp;<strong>Vertiv Quality Management System</strong>&nbsp;and ensure compliance across all manufacturing elements, including&nbsp;<strong>receiving inspection and product release transitions</strong>.</p>\n<p>Develop, implement, and monitor&nbsp;<strong>continuous improvement projects</strong>&nbsp;to reduce scrap, improve yield, and enhance product reliability.</p>\n<p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p>\n<p>Serve as the primary quality liaison with&nbsp;<strong>Engineering, Service, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Product Management</strong>.</p>\n<p>Engage directly with customers to address and resolve quality concerns while maintaining strong client relationships.</p>\n<p>Partner with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and support supplier corrective action initiatives.</p>\n<p><strong>Metrics &amp; Reporting</strong></p>\n<p>Collect, analyze, and present plant-wide quality performance metrics to senior leadership.</p>\n<p>Track key performance indicators such as scrap rate, first-pass yield, and audit findings to drive data-based decision making.</p>\n<p>Ensure timely communication of quality trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p>BA/BS degree&nbsp;<strong>or</strong>&nbsp;minimum of 5 years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing (degree preferred in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Systems Engineering).</p>\n<p>Valid driver’s license.</p>\n<p>Demonstrated experience in&nbsp;<strong>leading teams</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>managing projects</strong>&nbsp;within a manufacturing or quality environment.</p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<p>Prior experience in a&nbsp;<strong>supervisory or lead quality role</strong>.</p>\n<p>Strong understanding of&nbsp;<strong>FMEA, control plans, PPAP, and quality audits</strong>&nbsp;(IATF, ISO, etc.).</p>\n<p>Proven success in&nbsp;<strong>scrap reduction, continuous improvement initiatives, and corrective action leadership</strong>.</p>\n<p>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.</p>\n<p>Proficiency in&nbsp;<strong>MS Office, Minitab, and/or Power BI</strong>&nbsp;for data analysis and reporting.</p>\n<p>Strong work ethic with the ability to set high standards for the quality team.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Education &amp;
