Accounting Assistant - (Accounts Receivable)

Today, MiniCo is a member of the Jencap Program Administrators division, offering multiple specialty property and casualty insurance products for a variety of unique industries and exposures. The Accounting Assistant (Receivables) will work a hybrid schedule from our Phoenix AZ office Responsibilities : Post payments to invoices Take payment calls Respond to accounting emails in Inquiry inbox Follow up and send past due notices Issue disbursement of commissions and refunds Function as back-up to all AR positions, filling in as needed for PTO coverage Prepare 1099 annual reporting Call on outstanding checks to reissue payment Requirements : 2-year degree (preferred) or equivalent of at least 2 years’ experience in practical accounting environment. Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial software applications Prepare audit workpapers at year end and assist in audit completion Knowledge of automated accounting systems and financial software applications Knowledge of accounting PC applications. Extremely detail oriented as well as speedy and accurate with a strong commitment to and regard for tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and knowledge of online EDP environment. The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors . Discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded.
