We are a Non-Profit, behavioral health setting, working with diverse groups with traditional and cultural awareness and sensitivity.&nbsp;<br>This is a full-time on-site role for a Substance Abuse/Mental Health Counselor. The Substance Abuse/Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual and group therapy, and case management. Maintains fidelity to the EBPs being utilized.</li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3><p><strong>Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:</strong></p><ol><li>Strong foundation in Social Work, Psychology, and Mental Health</li><li>Experience in Case Management, Family Therapy, and/or other relevant fields</li><li>Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities for substance use and mental health disorders</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in New Mexico as a clinical therapist</li><li>Experience with co-occurring disorders is a plus</li><li>Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field</li><li>Also accepting LSAA and LADAC licenses</li></ol><p><strong>Education and Experience:</strong></p><ol><li>Current New Mexico License as a Mental Health Counselor or Therapist (Independent License Preferred) - LSAA, LADAC, LMCH, LMSW, LPCC, LCSW</li><li>Prefer at least two years of experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health/substance abuse diagnoses, providing individual and group psychotherapy.</li><li>Must be computer literate to effectively maintain compliance with BHSD Standards and requirements for the use of computerized client assessments, data systems, etc.</li><li>Maintain current, valid NM Driver’s License.
