Directly or indirectly, you'll have exposure to cutting-edge technology and groundbreaking medical research.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Location: </strong>Johns Hopkins All Children's Outpatient Care, Tampa, FL</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong>  Monday -Thursday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pay Rate: </strong>$47.00 - $49.00 Per hour (Based on Experience)</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Registered Radiology Tech will perform diagnostic procedures in an outpatient setting.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Counsels patients on radiographic examinations.</li>\n <li>Lifts and correctly positions patients onto examination tables in order to achieve desired radiographic results.</li>\n <li>Determines proper technical factors such as voltage, current, exposure time, and focal distance based on patient size, physical condition and suspected pathology.</li>\n <li>Adjusts lead shields to protect unaffected parts of the patient’s anatomy.</li>\n <li>Selects and loads proper film. Positions X-ray equipment at correct distance and operates equipment according to specific diagnostic procedures.</li>\n <li>Operates portable X-ray equipment and uses special equipment such as tomography.</li>\n <li>Verifies all patient films, examination requisitions and records are properly completed.</li>\n <li>Processes film, reloads cassettes and reviews developed film for quality.</li>\n <li>Checks equipment and accessories to ensure proper operation. Reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate personnel.</li>\n <li>Transports patients as required.</li>\n <li>Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner. Regularly checks to ensure adequate diagnostic supplies are available. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma required; and  completion of Radiography program from an AMA accredited Radiography school</li>\n <li>Florida State Radiography License required</li>\n <li>Certification from ARRT required</li>\n <li>BLS CPR certification required, PALS and NRP is a plus</li>\n <li>At least one year of Acute Care Pediatrics or Children's Hospital experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Johns Hopkins Health System and its affiliates are an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
