Cashiers generally take orders, ring them up on a register, collect payments and make change, and issue receipts. Cashiers are often asked to help with other tasks around the place of business during their down time.<br>&nbsp;<br> <strong>Cashier Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Welcome all guests and always maintain a friendly attitude</li><li>Respond to questions and&nbsp;</li><li>Help guests operate machines and provide assistance whenever necessary</li><li>Operate computer, scanner, printer, cash registers, and other electronics</li><li>Accepting payments and provide a receipt to every guest</li><li>Provide reports to management</li><li>Assist with promotions upon request</li><li>Run errands for management as needed</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Cashiers must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). Aside from this, cashiers need to have great interpersonal skills to provide customers with great service.
