May recommend purchase decisions with the department lead or supervisor.</li><li>Provide work direction to less experienced Maintenance Mechanics or assist in training.</li><li>Participates in Daily Safety Toolbox Talks.</li><li>Performs emergency/ repair</li><li>Welding tasks as required.</li><li>Maintains knowledge of equipment, operations, and processes throughout the plant.</li><li>Performs duties in a safe manner, utilizing all approved safety equipment, and successfully completes all safety certification requirements.</li><li>May perform reasonably similar or related duties as assigned.</li></ul><strong>Job Requirements:</strong><ul><li>Post-Secondary mechanical education (preferred).</li><li>Complete all on the job training books along with web-based training to be a fully qualified Mechanic II.</li><li>Become CPR/ First Aid qualified.</li><li>Participate in the Respirator program (preferred)</li><li>Willing and able to perform tasks at high elevations.</li><li>Identify, understand, and have ability to communicate plant hazards with others.</li><li>Complete all required safety training also follow and display knowledge of all safety procedures.</li><li>Have general understanding of how to use a computer and email.</li><li>Communicate effectively through speech and writing along with other mediums such as email.</li><li>Must stay motivated and show initiative to complete tasks under limited supervision.</li><li>Display quality work through strong attention to detail.</li><li>Work with a team orientation by coordinating efforts with colleagues to complete tasks effectively.</li><li>Work overtime as necessary including nights and weekends.</li><li>Provide shift coverage.</li><li>Meet requests of supervision including but not limited to the essential functions listed.</li><li>Utilize trucks, forklifts, computers, hand tools, testing equipment, JLG lifts, wiring, rigging, and other tools or equipment correctly.</li><li>Able to meet physical requirements and perform duties in working conditions listed.</li></ul><strong>Working Conditions:</strong><ul><li>Shift varies- average of 40/42 hours a week. Work schedule may include days, nights, weekends and holidays.</li><li>Duties performed inside and outside</li><li>May be exposed to extreme temperatures and humid conditions</li><li>Often working performing tasks at high elevations always with the use of proper PPE.</li><li>May perform tasks in tight spaces.</li><li>Atmosphere exposure: fumes, odors, dust, gas, and poor ventilation. Due to the wide variety of tasks in all production areas, this position is exposed to many atmospheres.</li><li>Hazard exposure: mechanical, electrical, and explosive. Extreme heat is also encountered in productions areas during summer months.</li><li>Protective Clothing Required: Hardhat, earplugs, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes/ boots, gloves, cut resistant sleeves, winter gear, high visibility vests, fall protection.</li></ul><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong><ul><li>Move or lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Lifting may consist of continuously carrying or pushing carts of tools and replacement parts from maintenance shop to production areas.</li><li>Position self to conduct work at various heights and positions.</li><li>Ability to ascend/ descend many flights of stairs or ladders</li><li>Be on feet walking/ moving around majority of typical workday.</li><li>Repetitive use of limbs such as manipulation of levers by hands to operate maintenance truck along with use of feet to operate pedals for truck, forklift, JLG lifts, or other vehicles.</li><li>Speech, vision, smell, touch, and hearing all needed senses to communicate effectively, recognize process upsets, and identify possible safety threats.</li></ul><p xml:lang=\"EN-US\">ADM requires the successful completion of&nbsp;a&nbsp;background check.&nbsp;</p><br>REF:108141BR",
