Our mission is to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for patients as they take the first steps toward a brighter, healthier future.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Patient Healthcare Associate (PHA), plays a vital role in supporting patients through their recovery journey. PHAs assist with self-administration of medication and monitor patients experiencing symptoms of substance withdrawal. They ensure the well-being of patients through vital sign checks, crisis intervention, and maintaining accurate medical records.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role requires a compassionate and composed individual capable of providing both physical and emotional support to patients as they work through challenging periods of recovery.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Hours: </span></p>\n<p>Join our team for the weekend shifts, working<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> 2p - 10p </span>to provide care and support when it’s needed most. This position is ideal for someone who prefers later hours and can deliver compassionate, high-quality service throughout the afternoon and evening.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Medication Assistance</span>: Guide patients in self-administering medication and monitor their responses to ensure proper adherence and timely intervention if needed.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Vital Sign Monitoring</span>: Accurately measure and document patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation, and take action as necessary if values fall outside of established parameters.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Patient Interaction</span>: Engage with patients in a non-judgmental, empathetic manner, offering emotional support and encouragement during their stay.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Documentation</span>: Record patient information accurately in electronic medical records, ensuring seamless communication of critical data within the care team.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Crisis Management</span>: Under the guidance of the detox nursing staff, assist in de-escalating potential crisis situations and ensure patient and staff safety.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Light Housekeeping</span>: Maintain a clean, organized environment that promotes patient safety and comfort.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaboration</span>: Work closely with the detox nursing team and other healthcare professionals to support patient needs and ensure high-quality care.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Team Meetings</span>: Participate in regular staff meetings and contribute to continuous improvement discussions.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span>: High School Diploma or equivalent required.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span>: <span>Experience working in the medical field as an STNA or nurse’s aide preferred. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Certification</span>: CPR/First Aid certification required, with training in Narcan administration.</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills</span>:\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality requirements in healthcare.</li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately.</li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.</li>\n<li>Ability to stay calm and exercise sound judgment under pressure.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform job responsibilities within a multi-level facility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Join New Day Recovery?</span></p>\n<p>At New Day Recovery, every day offers a new opportunity to make a positive impact.
