Description

The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day Human Resources needs of all Willow ministries by delivering comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. This role partners with ministry leadership and staff to foster a positive, compliant, and mission-aligned workplace culture. Responsibilities include recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits and compensation support, compliance, performance management, HR systems administration, and offboarding. The ideal candidate is organized, relational, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple HR functions while maintaining confidentiality and legal compliance. What You'll Do: Talent Acquisition Manage full-cycle recruiting, including job postings, sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding Partner with hiring managers to ensure effective hiring practices, communication, and legal compliance Oversee screening requirements such as background and reference checks Support onboarding initiatives Employee & Manager Support Serve as a resource for HR policies, procedures, benefits, compensation, and employee questions Process employee updates including promotions, salary changes, and organizational changes Support employee relations matters and other initiatives Administer FMLA, workers’ compensation, and offboarding processes Compliance, Systems & Development Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, audits, and recordkeeping requirements Partner with HR Director in performance management, training initiatives, and organizational HR programs Act as the HRIS subject matter expert Manage work authorization and independent contractor processes in partnership with Finance/Accounting
