We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join our team focused on <em>Delivering Solutions and Improving Lives</em>.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>NV5 is seeking an<strong> Geotechnical Engineer</strong> for our Charlotte, NC location. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead and manage the geotechnical engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.</li>\n <li>Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of geotechnical investigations and analyses.</li>\n <li>Develop and review geotechnical reports, proposals, and project documentation.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.</li>\n <li>Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess soil and rock conditions.</li>\n <li>Utilize advanced geotechnical software for modeling and analysis.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.</li>\n <li>Participate in business development activities, including client meetings and proposal preparation.</li>\n <li>Stay updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and incorporate them into practice.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (master’s or Ph.D. preferred).</li>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required. (or ability to become registered in North Carolina within 3 months of hire).</li>\n <li>Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated above-average technical capabilities and working knowledge of basic geotechnical software (LPILE, FB-DEEP, SPW911, SETTL3D, SLOPE/W etc).
