From feasibility studies via preparation project tendering till final acceptance, design and construction activities. · Designs, communicates, and implements a project plan · Monitors project progress and performance against project plan · Analyzes drawings and communicates discrepancies to vendors for corrections · Prepares engineering designs and work specifications · Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports. Collects, analyzes, and summarizes information and trends · Resolves operational problems and minimizes delays using most appropriate option or improve existing approaches · Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements; assigning personnel to phases and elements; reviewing bids from contractors · Supports setup of contacts with internal / external Daimler partners and worldwide external business partners · Solve national and international problems using root cause analysis · May supports manufacturing engineering assignments as needed · Will receive input from project teams and working groups. Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC invested 500 million U.S. dollars in the construction of a new Sprinter production plant in addition to an expansion of the previous assembly operations. In September 2018, MBV officially opened its new plant, located next to existing operations in the North Charleston area. The MBV facility will provide up to 1,300 jobs by the end of the decade and is expected to create at least 600 additional jobs in the region through its suppliers. More than 130,000 Sprinters have been assembled in North Charleston and delivered to destinations in the U.S. since 2006. The U.S. is now the second largest market for Sprinter vans, after Germany.
