    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><strong>You belong at Day &amp; Ross.&nbsp;</strong></span></span></p><p>Dispatcher&nbsp;</p><p>Full-time - Shift is 9 AM - 6 PM&nbsp;</p><p>Carlisle, PA</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The scope of this position is to be responsible for dispatching units to pickup and delivery freight, monitoring the performance of drivers and ensuring customer timelines are adhered to.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>How You’ll Help:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Coordinate deliveries, assign pick up requests, and enter line haul orders in the computer.&nbsp;</li><li>Assign appointment freight deliveries to trucks, manifest shipments, and check for expedited shipments.&nbsp;</li><li>Answer phones from drivers and customers.&nbsp;</li><li>Review yard check to ensure freight is not missed and trucks are on schedule.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate drivers to come back for second round of deliveries.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinate daily P&amp;D requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor driver performance and report finding to manager.&nbsp;</li><li>Identify areas for improvement and efficiencies.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform clerical duties for compliance and broker pay as required.&nbsp;</li><li>Other related duties as may be required.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Your Skills and Experience:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>High School graduate or equivalent&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Transportation background in dispatch or Ops Coordinator&nbsp;</li><li>Computer literate in Excel and Word&nbsp;</li><li>Equipment knowledge is an asset&nbsp;</li><li>Strong problem solving skills with the ability to implement proactive solutions to support operational demands and efficiencies&nbsp;</li><li>Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills to manage demands and resolve issues with drivers, coworkers, etc.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have a strong sense of urgency&nbsp;</li><li>Good communication skills&nbsp;</li><li>Must be a self-starter&nbsp;</li><li>English required; other languages an asset but not required&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">To apply, visit our Careers page at <strong>dayross.com</strong>.</span></span><br><br><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">If you’re chosen for the role, you’ll be asked to provide reference and criminal background checks before employment.
