          "text": "<p><br>\n<strong>Turner &amp; Townsend</strong>&#xa0;are looking for a&#xa0;<strong>Senior Cost Control Consultant&#xa0;</strong>to oversee the financial aspects of major data center construction program for a global technology client.</p><p>The key responsibilities of this role include:</p><ul><li>Monitoring and controlling costs&#xa0;to ensure the financial health of projects.</li><li>Managing cash flow, pay applications, and change management.</li><li>Budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.</li><li>Implementing cost-saving measures&#xa0;to meet project goals and client requirements.</li></ul><p>Success in this position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a client-facing role.</p><p><br>\n<strong>Location Requirement:</strong></p><p>This position requires working locally with our client in&#xa0;Holly Ridge, LA. Relocation support is available. If full relocation isn’t feasible, a per diem may be offered provided you can work onsite Monday through Friday.<br>\n<br>\n<br>\n<strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Build strong working relationships across stakeholders through clear communication, constructive challenge, reliability, and a collaborative attitude.</li><li>Demonstrate a professional, respectful, and solutions-oriented approach when engaging with clients, contractors, and internal teams, particularly in high-pressure project environments.</li><li>Lead the review and commercial challenge of general contractor and trade partner pay applications, change requests, and supporting backup to ensure accuracy, entitlement, and value for money.</li><li>Own forecast-at-complete / estimate-at-completion reporting, including variance analysis, identification of key cost movements, and recommended corrective actions.</li><li>Maintain a clear and auditable cost control environment across commitments, changes, accruals, invoices, and forecasts, ensuring all records are accurate and decision-ready.</li><li>Provide exception-based reporting to the client and project leadership, highlighting key risks, aging change, unfunded exposure, forecast variances, and items requiring escalation.</li><li>Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control systems.</li><li>Track and report all project expenditures, preparing and analyzing cost reports.</li><li>Monitor cost performance, identifying risks and providing mitigation strategies.</li><li>Collaborate with project managers, finance, and procurement teams for accurate invoicing, budgeting, and forecasting.</li><li>Oversee contract administration and ensure compliance.</li><li>Conduct risk assessments and implement management protocols.</li><li>Provide regular project status updates and detailed progress reports.</li><li>Ensure all cost management activities adhere to industry standards and legal regulations.</li><li>Manage cash flow process with the general contractors and review variances and provide detailed feedback.</li><li>Prepare detailed monthly cash flow reports/narratives for client to review.</li><li>Prepare and submit pay applications review to clients, resolve discrepancies and track their status.</li><li>Review and verify subcontractor and vendor invoices.</li><li>Document and assess changes to project scope, schedule, or budget.</li><li>Implement change management protocols and prepare change order requests.</li><li>SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.</li><li>Regular travel to construction site is expected.&#xa0;</li></ul>",

          "text": "<p>&#xa0;</p><ul><li>Proximity to Monroe, LA (or willingness to travel) - 5 days a week on project in Holly Ridge, LA.</li><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>Minimum of 7+&#xa0;years in cost-focused project controls or cost management, with 3+ years on large-scale construction projects.</li><li>Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.</li><li>Prior experience with data center construction or similar infrastructure projects is preferred.</li><li>Strong professional presence, emotional maturity, and the ability to maintain a respectful and composed approach when managing conflict, challenge, and competing priorities.</li><li>Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to take ownership, support the wider team, and contribute to a high-performance site culture.</li><li>Demonstrated experience reviewing and challenging contractor / subcontractor pay applications, change orders, and commercial backup on large live construction projects.</li><li>Strong understanding of forecast final cost management, variance analysis, accruals, commitments, and cost-to-complete methodology.</li><li>Experience establishing and maintaining robust cost controls, audit trails, and reporting governance across complex construction programs.</li><li>Strong commercial judgement with the ability to identify risk early, challenge assumptions, and communicate issues clearly with proposed solutions.</li><li>Strong experience in cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting within the data center or large-scale commercial construction sector.</li><li>Advanced knowledge of cost control systems, financial forecasting tools, and Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.</li><li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.</li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</li><li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions.</li></ul>",
