The equipment technician ensures the physical plant is properly maintained.  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Potential fulltime shifts vary from four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts starting at 5 a.m. and are set upon hiring; Sundays off; no overnight shifts</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong> Pay range from $32.50- $43.68 depending on healthcare experience</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits</li>\n <li>Life and long-term disability insurance provided at no additional expense to employee</li>\n <li>Paid time off (PTO) including holidays</li>\n <li>Extended Sick Bank (ESB) in addition to PTO – paid time for doctor appointments, sickness or medical leave</li>\n <li>Retirement plans with $.50 of each contributed dollar matched for eligible employees, up to 8 percent</li>\n <li>Education reimbursement</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Wellness program</li>\n <li>Among others</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>What You Can Expect:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Repair, calibrate, and maintain dialysis delivery equipment used in-center to ensure proper functioning and safety.  May also help in the hospital services program, and with home therapies dialysis.</li>\n <li>Provides routine maintenance and repair of water systems in-center and in the patient home.</li>\n <li>Is knowledgeable of and follows AAMI standards for water safety and for reprocessing.</li>\n <li>Documents repairs and maintenance according to DCI and clinic policy.  Is thorough, timely, accurate and legible in documentation.</li>\n <li>Performs and documents air quality testing and takes appropriate actions.</li>\n <li>Performs inventory functions as assigned, following DCI procedures.</li>\n <li>Knows and follows procedures relating to hazardous chemical use, storage and disposal.</li>\n <li>Knows and follows procedures relating to medical waste storage and disposal.</li>\n <li>Strictly observes infection control and safety procedures.</li>\n <li>Responsible for completion of minor building maintenance.</li>\n <li>Participates in and supports clinic quality improvement activities and risk management program.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Successful Candidates Bring:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent communication skills</li>\n <li>Desire to collaborate with care teams</li>\n <li>Ability to problem solve</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education/Training:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or general education degree (GED)</li>\n <li>One to three months biomed technician experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Must successfully complete assigned manufacturer training courses within 12 months.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>DCI’s Differentiator:</strong>Since opening the first clinic 50 years ago in Nashville, Tenn., our Dialysis Clinic, Inc. family has grown to be the nation’s largest nonprofit dialysis provider with more than 270 locations in 30 states, serving nearly 14,000 patients each day.
