    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span>We’re looking for a creative, curious, and resourceful <strong>Social Marketing and Audience Growth Intern</strong> to help grow awareness and audience for our expanding podcast network. This role is ideal for someone who understands internet culture, knows where niche communities live online, and is excited to engage authentically with fans across platforms.</span></p>\n<p><span>You’ll play a key role in identifying and participating in online conversations, seeding podcast content in relevant spaces, and helping us reach new audiences beyond traditional social channels.</span></p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Identify and research online communities where target podcast audiences are active (Reddit, Facebook Groups, Discord, Quora, Substack, forums, etc.)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Monitor conversations, trends, and recurring topics within these communities&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Authentically engage in discussions to build credibility and relationships (not spammy promotion)&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Seed podcast content, clips, and ideas into relevant conversations where appropriate</li>\n <li>Collaborate with the content and social teams to align messaging and timing&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Develop creative ways to introduce podcasts into existing conversations and cultural moments&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Track which communities and tactics drive engagement, traffic, and audience growth&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Assist in outreach to moderators, creators, and community leaders when needed&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Stay up to date on emerging platforms, online behaviors, and audience trends&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Participate in brainstorming sessions around growth, distribution, and audience development</li>\n <li>Support additional marketing and audience growth initiatives as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong familiarity with platforms like Reddit, Facebook Groups, Discord, Quora, and emerging community spaces&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong sports knowledge (current events, statistics, history, podcasts, culture …)</li>\n <li>Strong understanding of online culture, tone, and how to engage authentically&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt voice by platform&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Interest in podcasts, media, storytelling, and audience growth&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to think creatively and identify non-obvious distribution opportunities&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Self-starter who can work independently and experiment with new ideas</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What You’ll Gain</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Hands-on experience in audience growth and grassroots marketing</li>\n <li>Exposure to podcast distribution strategy</li>\n <li>Opportunity to experiment with creative, unconventional marketing tactics</li>\n <li>Mentorship from experienced digital and marketing professionals</li>\n <li>Real deliverables for your portfolio</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Details</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Paid internship</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Part-time (15–25 hours per week)</strong></li>\n <li><strong>10-week long internship program</strong></li>\n <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States</li>\n <li>School enrollment is not required; open to students, recent graduates, and early-career creators or marketers&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
