Description

Operator (I) Department: Yard Reports To: General Manager Status: Non-Exempt Description: Safely and efficiently operating a variety of equipment and responsible for inspecting, providing preventative maintenance and reporting any equipment concerns to management. Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Operates machinery to move inventory throughout the facility in a safe manner without damaging equipment, inventory or company property.* Performs required inspections and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure safe operating conditions.* Dismantle vehicles with specified equipment Crush vehicle inventory Load inventory into appropriate facilities, containers, trucks or trailers Keep all equipment clean and functioning Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment as necessary Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling Only move/handle vehicles with an inventory sticker" Follows all safety policies and procedures.* Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license. Forklift certification. Training and certification available.
