The Instructors report to the Dean of Allied Health.</p>\r\n\t\t\t</td>\r\n\t\t</tr>\r\n\t</tbody>\r\n</table>\r\n\r\n<p>Duties and Responsibilities<br />\r\n1. Teaches students the occupational competencies necessary for employment.<br />\r\n2. Prepares course competency-based outlines for each instructional course or program.<br />\r\n3. Prepares detailed lesson plans, job sheets, and laboratory experiments for all units of instruction.<br />\r\n4. Recommends changes in the total curriculum in order to maintain an up-to-date program.<br />\r\n5. Develops and maintains the progress of each student in the program.<br />\r\n6. Teaches related subject matter.<br />\r\n7. Supervises laboratory experience.<br />\r\n8. Develops a schedule of courses for each semester.<br />\r\n9. Reviews and selects instructional materials such as textbooks and audio-visual materials.<br />\r\n10. Completes requests for supplies and other instructional materials on a timely basis.<br />\r\n11. Completes enrollment and follow-up reports.<br />\r\n12. Assists in the development of an annual budget for the instructional program.<br />\r\n13. Maintains a clean and safe laboratory environment.<br />\r\n14. Recommends new and/or replacement equipment to be purchased for the program.<br />\r\n15. Maintains proper inventory of all equipment and tools assigned to the program.<br />\r\n16. Keeps equipment functioning and in good working order by establishing an effective preventive maintenance system.<br />\r\n17. Maintains an active craft committee that meets twice a year.<br />\r\n18. Visits industry for the purpose of developing a good rapport with potential employees.<br />\r\n19. Takes an active role in the advisement and counseling of students.<br />\r\n20. Helps students find employment in an occupation related to training.<br />\r\n21. Fulfills the requirements of career license certification by attending specified classes and workshops.<br />\r\n22. Serves on various faculty committees.<br />\r\n23. Attends faculty meetings and workshops.<br />\r\n24. Performs assigned duties on orientation days scheduled during the summer months.</p>\r\n",
