The school is in a dynamic growth phase with a state-of-the-art facility.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Further information about OHSU, the School of Dentistry, and its south waterfront home can be found at: OHSU School of Dentistry </p>\n<h2>Function/Duties of Position</h2>\n<p>The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position reports to (supervisor): Juliana B. da Costa, DDS, MS, Chair</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The duties of this position include: This position is under the supervision of the Chair of the Department of Restorative Dentistry. The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objects of OHSU and the School of Dentistry and include: Serving as an instructor in the preclinical laboratory, reviewing student work and providing critical assessment and aid in performing normal dental procedures, serving as a course director and giving lectures, attending lectures of fellow faculty members for courses in which the person is assigned, teaching in the predoctoral dental clinic and supervising students providing patient care, performing scholarly activities such as research (including laboratory and/or clinical studies), participating on committees within the school and university as assigned, and providing patient care. The general pattern of working hours corresponds with scheduled clinic hours, Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm. Deviations from this pattern may be necessary at times.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Annual 1.0 FTE salary ranges are as follows:</p>\n<p>Assistant Professor: $130,396 - $151,540</p>\n<p>Associate Professor: $156,087 -$182,056 </p>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Dental degree (DDS/DMD) from a CODA accredited school, or advanced training in a specialty program at a CODA accredited school</li>\n <li>ADA accredited advanced training program in Prosthodontics</li>\n <li>Oregon Dental License, Unrestricted (or eligibility to obtain prior to employment)</li>\n <li>BLS from AHA required. New hires will be enrolled in an OHSU training course and will be required to complete the course during the onboarding process</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Membership and participation in professional societies in dental research</li>\n <li>Demonstrated achievement in research including awards, extra-mural funding, and publications in peer reviewed journals</li>\n <li>Must be able to teach at the pre and post graduate levels</li>\n <li>Extensive experience in digital dentistry</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why apply to OHSU?</h2>\n<b>We are Oregon's only public academic health center.</b> In addition to caring for patients, we lead groundbreaking research.
