Arrow is a diversified transportation, logistics, and materials handling company with operations throughout Canada and the U.S.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Arrow is a leader in Reload Operations, partnering with Class 1 railways in Canada to inventory and transfer product between truck, rail and container shipping to for delivery to satisfied customers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are looking for a <strong>Transload Operator </strong>to join our Tk̓emlúps Reload team in <strong>Kamloops, BC</strong>. Lumber, steel, and dry and liquid bulk goods arrive at the facility by truck or rail. The Transload Operator will safely and efficiently transfer these commodities to truck, rail or container for furtherance.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Tk̓emlúps Transload is proudly operated as a Joint Venture enterprise between Arrow Transportation and Sc.wén̓wen Economic Development Corporation, the business arm of Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>For more information, please visit www.arrowcareers.ca</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Load railcars with various commodoties which may include forestry products, dry and liquid bulk goods and others</li>\n <li>Prepare the rail cars for loading/unloading; including a thorough inspection   </li>\n <li>Ability to operate or learn to operate and maintain railcar/transloading equipment (e.g. hoses, transfer pumps, portable stair systems, small to medium sized equipment, forklift etc.) </li>\n <li>Follow all workplace safety policies and compliance regulations participate in identifying hazards </li>\n <li>Provide internal and external Customer Service excellence </li>\n <li>Complying with all rules and regulations, protocols and established metrics   </li>\n <li>Ability to understand cross training on all functions at facility  </li>\n <li>Can accurately fill out all necessary paperwork, timesheets, load reports, rail car defect reports, etc. </li>\n <li>May be asked to travel to other transload terminals to assist if necessary </li>\n <li>Understand how to properly sample and record the commodity for measurements and levels  </li>\n <li>Assist haulers fixing their equipment to ours, checking for leaks and operating their pump as necessary </li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>You Possess</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>1-2 years experience operating heavy equipment in a safety sensitive environment</li>\n <li>Ability to perform physically demanding work, including climbing railcars and ladders, working at heights, crawling under railcars, and walking on uneven terrain</li>\n <li>Able to lift up to 50 lbs and use tools such as a 10 lb sledgehammer</li>\n <li>Willing and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions</li>\n <li>Willing to work with bulk materials, including hazardous commodities</li>\n <li>Ability to follow schedules, work independently, and complete daily tasks reliably</li>\n <li>Willingness to travel to other terminals as required</li>\n <li>Strong attention to detail</li>\n <li>Experience working with computers</li>\n <li>Completion of, or ability to complete, required safety and industry training (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, TDG, Rail Safe, fall protection, H2S, SCBA, emergency response, commodity-specific training is an asset</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and solid interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Reliable, accountable, and dependable</li>\n <li>Strong work ethic with a positive, team-oriented attitude</li>\n <li>Flexible and able to work effectively in a diverse environment</li>\n <li><strong>Embody Arrow's values: Safety, Integrity, Responsibility, Quality, Teamwork, and Fun!</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>#IND</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2></h2>\n<p></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Arrow has been recognized as a Top Fleet Employer of Distinction, a SmartWay Transport Partner, a BCTA Clean Carrier, a BC Hydro Clean Energy Champion and as a Carrier of Excellence in Women's Leadership.</p>",
