    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div><p><span><strong><u>Broadcast Production Assistant</u></strong></span></p><p><span>16WAPT, the ABC affiliate in Jackson, MS has an opening for a <strong>Broadcast Production Assistant</strong>. We are looking for a team player who understands the flexible schedule that the broadcast industry requires to join our production crew. You will be responsible for operating cameras, teleprompter, audio-board, graphics and video equipment related to live broadcasts and post-production. You will work with our production team to guarantee a successful broadcast is produced. You will report to the Sr Newscast Director.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Operate cameras and studio floor directing</span></li><li><span>Move and handle props and sets during productions</span></li><li><span>Construction, maintenance, installation and operation of props, cameras, prompters, sets and other production equipment</span></li><li><span>Lighting and script preparation for newscasts</span></li><li><span>Maintain appearance of studios including cleaning of set and floors</span></li><li><span>Understand and maintain lighting grid and control board</span></li><li><span>Climb ladders to change light bulbs and adjust fixtures on the grid</span></li><li><span>Edit syndicated promos for air and web content using Adobe Premiere</span></li><li><span>Assist the directors</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Requirements</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Working knowledge of television newscast equipment and software</span></li><li><span>Videography experience helpful</span></li><li><span>Editing experience is necessary</span></li><li><span>Can deal with the stresses and pressures of time-sensitive newscast production</span></li><li><span>Related military experience will be considered</span></li><li><span>In-person attendance is required</span></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Values in Action</strong></span></p><p><span>At Hearst Television we tell stories every day.
