This role emphasizes adherence to safety regulations, effective communication with dispatch and team members, and accurate delivery documentation. The Flat Deck Operator plays a critical role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and operational standards.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Your day-to-day will look like: </span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operate flat deck trucks safely and in accordance with company policies, provincial regulations, traffic laws, and site requirements.</li>\n<li>Load, secure, strap, chain, bind, and tarp equipment, materials, and freight for transport.</li>\n<li>Confirm loads are properly secured and comply with weight, height, balance, and load securement requirements.</li>\n<li>Deliver equipment, materials, and freight to construction sites, yards, and customer locations as scheduled.</li>\n<li>Load and unload freight using forklifts or other equipment when required.</li>\n<li>Verify materials, equipment, part numbers, and delivery documentation for accuracy.</li>\n<li>Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance, equipment, or safety concerns.</li>\n<li>Communicate with dispatch, the Rental Equipment Manager, site contacts, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and schedule changes.</li>\n<li>Follow site access, traffic control, and safety procedures when entering or working around active construction sites.</li>\n<li>Plan routes with consideration for timing, road restrictions, site access, and safe delivery requirements.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">You have the following qualifications, technical and interpersonal skills: </span><br><br><em>Qualifications:</em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Valid Class 5 driver’s licence.</li>\n<li>Acceptable driver’s abstract.</li>\n<li>Previous experience driving flat deck, open-deck, or construction delivery trucks preferred.</li>\n<li>Forklift certification or equipment operating experience considered an asset.</li>\n<li>Ability to work outdoors and around active construction sites, yards, traffic, equipment, and changing weather conditions.</li>\n<li>Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role, including climbing, securing loads, handling chains, straps, binders, and tarps, and assisting with loading or unloading when required.</li>\n<li>Must be fit for duty and able to perform work safely in a safety-sensitive environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Technical Skills: </span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of load securement standards, including straps, chains, binders, and tarps.</li>\n<li>Experience operating flat deck or open-deck trucks.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with construction site protocols, yard operations, and safety practices.</li>\n<li>Basic mechanical awareness for vehicle inspections and reporting issues.</li>\n<li>Ability to safely load, unload, and handle materials and equipment.</li>\n<li>Forklift or equipment operating experience is considered an
