Description

Signage Technical Designer Our Family Broadway National, one of Inc. 5000’s fastest growing privately owned companies, provides national and international Property Management services to high profile clientele throughout a wide range of businesses. Such businesses include Tech, Restaurant, Super Market, Facility Maintenance, Retail, Specialty and more. Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Signage Technical Draftsman to create and finalize production-ready drawings for signage projects. This role bridges design and fabrication by translating concepts into precise technical drawings that guide manufacturing and installation. The ideal candidate ensures all signage drafts meet brand standards, structural requirements, and code compliance. Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed technical drawings for interior and exterior signage (channel letters, monuments, pylons, wayfinding, ADA signage, etc.) Translate design concepts into fabrication-ready shop drawings and install packages Review and sign off on technical drafts to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance Prepare permit drawings in accordance with local municipal codes and zoning regulations Collaborate with project managers, designers, engineers, and fabrication teams Specify materials, dimensions, mounting methods, and illumination details (LED, electrical layouts) Revise drawings based on client feedback, site surveys, and engineering requirements Maintain version control and organized documentation of all drawing revisions Ensure all signage drawings align with brand guidelines and client specifications Requirements: Proven experience in signage drafting, architectural drafting, or related field Proficiency in CorelDRAW and CAD software (AutoCAD/Adobe Illustrator/CorelDRAW) Strong understanding of signage fabrication methods and materials Knowledge of permitting processes, local codes, and ADA compliance Ability to read and interpret architectural and site plans High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and collaboration skills Preferred Skills: Experience with national signage programs or multi-site rollouts Familiarity with UL standards, electrical components, and illuminated signage Knowledge of CNC/router files and fabrication workflows Experience conducting or interpreting site surveys Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Has 4-5 years of experience.
