Look no further, the JCC of Greater Buffalo is a dynamic collaborative team whose passion has purpose, strengthens our community, enriches generations, nurtures friendships, respects traditions and brings out the best in every life we touch.</p><p><strong>Aquatics Manager</strong></p><p>The Aquatics Manager is a year-round full-time position whose primary responsibility is to assist the Director of Aquatics and Sports &amp; Recreation with the development, implementation, and supervision of all aquatic&rsquo;s programs and staff. This role serves as the second-in-command for the aquatics department Holland Family Building, supporting daily operations, staff leadership, and program delivery to maintain a safe and engaging aquatic environment.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Assist with scheduling and management of aquatics programs including swim lessons, swim team, aquatic fitness classes, and camps.</li><li>Provide direct service instruction (up to 30 hours per week) including swim lessons, lifeguarding, training courses, and other aquatics programs.</li><li>Lead lifeguard staff during emergencies and conduct monthly lifeguard in-service trainings.</li><li>Monitor lifeguard performance and ensure compliance with safety procedures and facility policies.</li><li>Manage staff scheduling, shift coverage, and supply ordering.</li><li>Enforce pool rules and ensure safe facility operations.</li><li>Perform routine pool maintenance checks including chlorine and pH readings and monitoring pool temperature.</li><li>Assist with facility setup, cleanup, and operational adjustments due to weather, staffing, or programming needs.</li><li>Travel between Holland and Benderson facilities as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><p><strong><u>Required Certifications (American Red Cross):</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Water Safety Instructor (WSI)</li><li>Lifeguard Instructor</li><li>Lifeguard Certification</li><li>First Aid</li><li>CPR/AED</li></ul><p><strong><u>Skills and Experience:</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: 0in;\"><li>Experience in aquatics programming, lifeguard supervision, or aquatic facility operations preferred</li><li>Strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); Accrisoft experience is a plus</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Perks</strong>:: Courtesy Gym Membership, Free Parking</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
