Position Summary:
The Robotic Welding Technician’s role is to program, set up and operate the robotic welding machines. They collaborate with the engineering and the fabrication team to plan, execute, and refine welding projects. are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Internal Relationships: All Departments
External Relationships: Occasional and incidental contact with customers or prospective customers

Job Responsibilities:
Program, set up, and operate robotic welding machines, specifically Fanuc, Motoman, OTC Robots and Cobots
Develop and optimize welding programs and parameters to maximize efficiency and product quality
Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of robotic welding systems to ensure optimal performance
Apply principles of basic welding fundamentals, symbols, and blueprints
Create robotic welding programs, modify existing welding programs, and conduct welding cell cycle time calculations
Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of robotic equipment and welding equipment
Collaborate with the engineering and fabrication teams to plan, execute, and refine welding projects
Check TCP on all robots at the start of the shift
Work with and help train robot operators
Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Ability to hand MIG weld as needed
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience as a Robot Welder with hands-on programming capabilities
Experience with robotic welding systems is required
Strong understanding of welding processes, robotic programming, and fabrication techniques
Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and blueprints
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Able to read, write, communicate in English
Environment/Physical Requirements with or without Accommodation:
This position is carried out in a fabrication shop environment and as such has the following physical work requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 100lbs.
Must be able to position welding apparatus in any position the work required.
Position requires ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping.
Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and chemicals.
Physical weld testing on site must be acceptable.
