This position will be responsible for a wide variety of activities, such as repairs and the operation of generators. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job, as the ideal candidate will have significant work experience and solid technical knowledge.</p>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n\n<p>· Able to troubleshoot, service, maintain, and repair all makes of standby generators.</p>\n\n<p>· Diagnose, repair, adjust, and modify all components of the generator, engine, and switchgear.</p>\n\n<p>· Conduct start-up, preventive maintenance, and service of standby generators.</p>\n\n<p>· Work on common standby generator brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, Briggs &amp; Stratton.</p>\n\n<p>· Install necessary equipment as needed.</p>\n\n<p>· Check system controls and critical systems, logging information as required, and complete minor adjustments as needed.</p>\n\n<p>· Perform necessary cleaning activities and wipe down engines.</p>\n\n<p>· Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as preventative maintenance work and work requests.</p>\n\n<p>· Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems</p>\n\n<p>· Report to facilities or maintenance manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention</p>\n\n<p>· Other duties as assigned.</p>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:</strong></p>\n\n<p>· High school diploma or equivalent</p>\n\n<p>· 3-5 years of diesel generator experience.</p>\n\n<p>· Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position.</p>\n\n<p>· Basic working knowledge of electrical and electronic systems</p>\n\n<p>· Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools</p>\n\n<p>· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</p>\n\n<p>· General passion for creative problem-solving</p>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p> </p>\n\n<p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p>\n\n<p>· Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.</p>\n\n<p>· Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable.
