Description The Digital Marketing Specialist supports the execution and optimization of the University of Maine’s digital marketing efforts for student recruitment and institutional marketing campaigns. This role is responsible for managing paid media, improving campaign performance, and ensuring that digital marketing efforts effectively reach and convert target audiences. Housed within the Division of Marketing and Communications, this position serves as a central resource for digital marketing execution, working in close partnership with Enrollment Management, academic units, and program-level marketers. The role collaborates with colleagues supporting graduate and online initiatives to align strategy and execution, and may lead select campaigns in these areas as needed. This is a hybrid role requiring two days a week on campus for team collaboration, with the flexibility to work remotely the remaining three days. Typical hiring range for this position is $56,000 to $64,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, or performance marketing. Experience managing paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Meta. Strong understanding of conversion optimization, A/B testing, and campaign performance analysis. Familiarity with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and attribution models. Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights. Ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in decentralized organizations.
