    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>Position Title: Applications Engineering Co-op (Fall 2026)Reports to: Applications Engineering Manager</p>\n<p>Location: Colfax, NC or Stafford, TX</p>\n<p>This is a full-time (40 hour per week), non-exempt position reporting in office.</p>\n<p>Must be available during the Fall 2026 term.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to provide daily support for the direct sales force in the areas of applications, proposal work and order processing/management. Specifically, this includes reviewing specifications, making pump selections, preparing proposals, providing technical support to customers, interfacing with vendors, processing orders, and expediting.</p>\n<h2>Essential Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive professional proposals.</li>\n <li>Use in-house created software to select optimal pumps, generate scope of supply, and submit orders.</li>\n <li>Handle customer telephone inquiries.</li>\n <li>Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment.</li>\n <li>Effectively process orders and manage any issues that arise.</li>\n <li>Act as a liaison between operations and the customer.</li>\n <li>Participate in sales calls with the Sales Engineer as part of development.</li>\n <li>Provide technical support to customers.</li>\n <li>Participate in pre-award meetings as required.</li>\n <li>Develop effective rapport with customer contacts.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Position Requirements</h2>\n<p>Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
