    "description": "<h2>Summary</h2>\n<p>Assures that the department of responsibility’s equipment is maintained for maximum available production capacity.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Verifies Preventative Maintenance work orders are properly matched to the equipment in the area.</li>\n <li>Follow through for accurate Countermeasures on Major Breakdown Reports </li>\n <li>Ensures adequate spare parts are available </li>\n <li>Manages any ongoing projects in the department</li>\n <li>Interacts with Vendors and Contractors for related work in the Department</li>\n <li>Understanding and implementation of a safe work environment</li>\n <li>Schedules shutdown work with Planners</li>\n <li>Assists with creation of One Point Lessons and Standard Operating Procedures for tasks necessary for more efficient repair and troubleshooting</li>\n <li>Ensures that department is kept in a clean 5s standard</li>\n <li>Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor on communicating work load and recommended improvements</li>\n <li>Requires On Call availability</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Knowledge and Skills</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Effective written/oral communication</li>\n   <li>Good working knowledge of computer applications</li>\n   <li>Technical/analytic skills</li>\n   <li>5-8 years related experience including good working knowledge of PLC’s, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and welding equipment. Must have had an effective background in environmental safety and supervision.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education and Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma </li>\n <li>5-8 years related experience including good working knowledge of PLC’s, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and welding equipment.  </li>\n <li>Must have had an effective background in environmental safety and supervision</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Technician MUST HAVE Boiler operation experience. Do not apply if not experienced.</strong></p>\n<h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n<p>Able to spend time walking the production areas, talking with operators and maintenance associates, can climb 3 floors of stairs, able to climb ladders.  Use small hand tools and meters for performing evaluations, calibrations, and troubleshooting.  Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability to travel for training assignments to overseas facilities or corporate headquarters.</p>\n<p>Otherwise – limited domestic travel for educational, technical, or business related opportunities.</p>\n<p> </p>",
