This role focuses on quality, safety, and compliance.</p><p><strong>Detailed Description:</strong></p><ul><li>Guides, instructs, and trains less experienced maintenance personnel.</li><li>Monitors the operation of equipment during pumping activities and performs necessary repairs.</li><li>Ensures compliance with workplace safety, environmental standards, national safety codes, NexTier, and client policies and regulations.</li><li>Demonstrates proper driving techniques for applicable DOT vehicles.</li><li>Obtains required certifications and licenses.</li><li>Learns basic auxiliary equipment involved in maintenance operations.</li><li>Maintains a consistent focus on service, quality, and safety.</li><li>Reads diagrams and schematics for work procedures.</li><li>Operates hoists and lift devices to position machinery safely.</li><li>Performs routine and non-routine maintenance and repairs on company assets.</li><li>Lubricates, services, diagnoses, repairs, assembles, and maintains vehicles and other equipment.</li><li>Stays updated on changes to industry standards.</li><li>Ensures completed work passes safety inspections.</li><li>Verifies that equipment is DOT compliant following repairs.</li><li>Performs additional duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Job Requirements:</strong><br><strong>Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrated experience with engines, electronics, diagnostics, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC, suspensions, cryogenics, and transmission systems through company and OEM training.</li><li>Knowledge of shop equipment and shop environment beyond basic hand tools.</li><li>Knowledge of applicable DOT regulations.</li><li>Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to issue and understand verbal and written instructions.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operational instructions, and policies/procedures.</li><li>Ability to write reports and simple correspondence and effectively communicate with coworkers, customers, and management.</li><li>Ability to work independently or within a team.</li><li>Adaptability to changing work conditions.</li><li>Commitment to promoting safety awareness and following policies and procedures related to quality, health, safety, and the environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Language Comprehension:</strong><br>Must understand and speak English at a level sufficient to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations-related directions.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:</strong> High School Diploma or GED.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> 2 years in a related role.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Details:</strong><br>The Mechanic 2 position requires technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to mentor and lead less experienced team members while maintaining high operational standards.</p>",
