Because Odyssey is where recovery gets real.</span></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>MAJOR FUNCTIONS:</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The <span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\" id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Licensed Social Worker&nbsp;</strong></span>is responsible for providing individual and group counseling services on a wide range of clinical and community issues for individuals in residential treatment to address a substance use disorder. A</span><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">ssists residents and their families in accessing community resources and services related to substance abuse, legal, mental health, medical and vocational/educational needs. &nbsp;F</span><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">unctions in a collaborative role within the clinical team and provides guidance and direction to the Counselors. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>SPECIFIC DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provide individual assessment and counseling to address outstanding family, medical, psychiatric, and housing concerns.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Conduct evidence-based group counseling services related to a wide range of clinical and community issues.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Maintain up-to-date resident charts including assessments, treatment plans, case notes and documentation of collateral contacts.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provide crisis intervention services.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Assist in the development and implementation of resident discharge plans.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Provide other therapeutic services through active participation, observation and evaluation of resident&rsquo;s engagement in the resident hierarchy, job functions, and social and recreational activities.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Establish community and agency affiliations which address resident needs and strengthen the delivery of services.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Functions as liaison and provide education and direct services to family members, as appropriate, in regards to resident&rsquo;s substance abuse and related behavioral issues.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When necessary due to staff absences or vacancies, maintains a caseload.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When necessary, conduct resident screening for contraband and collection of samples for urine toxicology testing Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and case conferences.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When necessary, facilitate case conferences and conduct internal chart audits. &nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Attend all required in-service training seminars.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Participate in quality improvement activities.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Function as &ldquo;Manager&rdquo; on Duty in the absence of an on-site manager.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Other relevant duties as required.</li></ul><h4><span style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">REQUIREMENTS: &nbsp;EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</span></h4><ol start=\"1\" type=\"1\"><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Master&rsquo;s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy with one (1) year experience working in a social services setting providing group counseling, family therapy and case management with chemically dependent clients required;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">NYS Licensure as a Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage and Family Therapist required. &nbsp;<ul><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Candidates lacking this credential must be able to obtain this minimum standard during the six (6) month introductory employment probation period.</li></ul></li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Must be able to work a flexible schedule.</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, Electronic Health Records, and Outlook programs). &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: arial, sans-serif;
