Duties include ensuring the project(s) are on budget, schedule, and the design fits the requirements for the contracts. Will supervise construction management team, which may consist of Construction Manager(s), Assistant Construction Manager(s), Field/Project Engineer(s), field administrative staff and other project staff as assigned. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties & Responsibilities:</strong> </p>\n<p>The Senior Construction Manager is responsible for providing the following services or for supervising the Construction Management team members who perform these services:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provides construction management services on multiple or complex projects</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.</li>\n <li>Responsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of construction</li>\n <li>Coordinates, directs, and monitors activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities</li>\n <li>Manages project controls, cost, schedule, performance activities, and procedures or as required by the client</li>\n <li>Conducts project meetings and provides meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information</li>\n <li>Ensures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment</li>\n <li>Provides management of project logistics, organization and safety</li>\n <li>Ensures project closeout to obtain guarantees, warranties, and related provisions for turnover to the owner</li>\n <li>Ensures project team adheres to safety requirements</li>\n <li>Performs other duties as required to ensure project success</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture is required</li>\n <li>Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Construction Manager and an additional 2 years of experience as a Senior Construction Manager</li>\n <li>Experience with public projects in California, specifically within locked facilities - preferred</li>\n <li>Strong oral and written communication skills are required</li>\n <li>Knowledge and application of construction estimating, cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices are required</li>\n <li>Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project-related Construction Management systems are required</li>\n <li>Ability to handle multiple contractors and multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously is required</li>\n <li>Certified Construction Manager preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Benefits</strong></p>\n<p>Vanir offers a comprehensive, competitive benefits package that includes 401(k) Savings with employer matching contributions, medical, dental, vision, health savings account (HSA) with employer contributions, life, AD&D and disability benefits, flexible spending account (FSA), voluntary benefits, Teladoc, pet insurance, paid time off, national employee assistance program (EAP) and employee referral program.</p>\n<h2>How to Apply</h2>\n<p>If you're interested in working for Vanir please visit our website to learn more and to apply online at www.vanir.com.</p>\n<p>   </p>\n<p>VEVRAA Federal Contractor</p>\n<p>Request Priority Protected Veteran Referrals</p>\n<p>EOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Disabled</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Contact Email: [email protected]</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Persons with medical limitations may, with reasonable accommodations, be capable of performing the duties of this position.
