font-size: 16px;'><strong>POSITION OVERVIEW</strong></span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Under the general direction of the Manager, Asset Management, this position encompasses electrical engineering duties under a variety of focus areas. including transmission and distribution protection analysis, substation planning, design, specifications, procurement, and commissioning. &nbsp;</span></p><p><span style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Understand one-lines, three-lines, schematic diagrams, wiring and connection diagrams for area of Engineering focus.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Project management responsibilities, where applicable, including fiscal control, reporting and closing of projects.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Understand the use of technical test equipment and oversight of the associated data and results. &nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'><strong>Distribution System Planning Engineer&nbsp;</strong></span></p><ul><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Work closely with others in the department and those necessary in other areas of the Company to facilitate the development of short-term and long-term distribution capital project plans based on system or equipment reliability, safety, risk assessment, condition, loading and other factors.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Develops and administrates inspection and maintenance programs and plans for system assets as directed.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Responsible for review, analysis and interpretation of inspection and test results within the distribution line inspection and maintenance programs and instituting appropriate projects, programs or actions where necessary.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company&rsquo;s reliability statistics&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Work closely with the Company&rsquo;s Engineering and Operations groups along with other departments to ensure compliance with enforceable standards applicable to the Company.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Prepare or coordinate the preparation of periodic data submittals and reports related to management of the Company&#39;s distribution assets as required by internal or external entities as deemed necessary (ex MPUC, Executive, BOD).&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif; font-size: 16px;'>Use the Company&#39;s tools and applications in order to develop short and long term programs and plans for distribution asset classes, using inputs such as reliability, condition, safety, useful life and other factors.&nbsp;</li><li style='font-family: \"times new roman\", serif;
