Description

Position Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for the successful development and implementation of Profile Products Manufacturing operational plans for one of our manufacturing facilities. The position fosters and promotes our Safety first and Customer first culture and manages our manufacturing facilities in accordance with company values and objectives. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining world class manufacturing facilities, reducing manufacturing costs, optimizing inventory utilization, promoting a LEAN culture, effectively managing operations and maximizing profitability. Operations/Production Manager Duties and Responsibilities Oversee the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met. Assist Plant Manager with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology. Review production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met. Ensure a healthy and safer working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff. Identify and share training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills. Organize departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations. Work with Plant Manager to develop operating budget. Deliver progress and production reports to executive team members as requested. Supervise equipment purchase, maintenance, and lay out. Oversee and participate in the recruitment, hiring, and training of employees Oversee schedules and assignments for the division. Ensure completion of employee performance evaluations. Administer discipline and termination of employees in accordance with Company policies. Assist in the procurement or raw materials, especially paper. Perform additional duties as required. Operations/Production Manager Job Requirements Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in industrial management, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field; master's degree preferred Minimum 10 years’ manufacturing experience, with specific expertise in process, safety, quality, and plant management Operations/Production Manager Essential Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to handle multiple priorities and to meet deadlines, while delivering projects within budget; results oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills Demonstrated initiative Ability to establish, maintain, and update short- and long-term goals Proven ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and present ideas confidently and persuasively; ability to motivate others Strong computer skills that include proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Dropbox Operations/Production Manager Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish preferred Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must quickly traverse manufacturing areas. The employee is regularly required to stand, bend, crawl, stretch, lay, and squat, to maintain equipment This position wears common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats. Possess the ability to fulfill and any all-office activities normally expected in an office setting, to include, but not limited to remaining seated for periods of time to perform computer entry, participating in filing activity, lifting and carrying office supplies (paper reams, mail, etc.) The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-25 pounds. May require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position. The individual possesses fine hand manipulation (keyboarding) skills. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This position operates in office and manufacturing environments. This position may work in extreme heat or cold (weather). This position may work near airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate to loud. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printer/scanner, and filing cabinets. Travel as required.
