Description Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders by translating business objectives into data-driven people strategies that enhance performance, organizational effectiveness, and growth. This role influences leaders, drives change, and partners with HR Centers of Excellence to deliver talent, engagement, and workforce solutions aligned to business priorities, while leading key HR initiatives that strengthen capability and the employee experience. Responsibilities Serve as a trusted strategic partner to business leaders, translating business objectives into forward-looking people strategies that drive performance, organizational effectiveness, and sustainable growth. Influence and coach leaders at all levels to proactively address organizational challenges, strengthen leadership capability, and foster a high-performing, engaged workforce. Leverage data, analytics, and insights (e.g., engagement, retention, performance, workforce trends) to inform decision-making, identify risks and opportunities, and guide evidence-based people strategies. Diagnose organizational needs and design targeted HR solutions across talent, structure, culture, and workforce planning to enable business outcomes. Lead and support change initiatives by providing strategic consultation, ensuring effective communication, and driving adoption of transformational efforts. Partner cross-functionally with HR Centers of Excellence to integrate and execute enterprise programs (e.g., talent management, compensation, engagement, org development and training) in alignment with business priorities. Proactively identify and address employee relations trends, mitigating risk while reinforcing a culture of accountability, inclusion, and respect. Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and optimizing people processes, enhancing the employee experience, and embedding best practices across the organization. Guide leaders on talent lifecycle strategies, including succession planning, capability building, and retention, to ensure a strong and diverse talent pipeline. Champion organizational health and culture by aligning leadership behaviors, communication strategies, and employee experience initiatives with company values and business goals. 20% travel required. Qualifications REQUIRED Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or related field (or relevant combination of education and experience) 3-6 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner or other HR role including coaching, employee relations, recruiting, compensation, training and HR project management Demonstrated ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex issues Demonstrated ability to effectively partner with all levels of the organization and positively influence teams Has relevant experience or demonstrated ability in turning business strategies into people related actions Understanding of state and federal labor laws and regulations Thorough understanding and hands-on application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards DESIRED Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field is a plus PHR Certification is a plus Experience working in a global organization is a plus Experience working in a matrixed organization is a plus Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Strong business acumen with the ability to align people strategies to business priorities and outcomes Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and build trust with leaders at all levels Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data and insights to drive sound decisions Excellent facilitation, consultation, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable guidance Proven ability to lead through change, navigate ambiguity, and drive organizational transformation High level of judgment and integrity in applying employment laws, regulations, and company policies Strong project and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results Collaborative, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and enhancing the employee experience Company Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products, primarily to the offshore energy industry.
