Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) invites applications for an IMPACT & KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT (IKM) MANAGER to join our dedicated and talented team in Kenya on our mission to create business solutions to poverty through Kenya - Canada Grain Resilience & Aggregation Investment Network (K-CAN GRAIN) Project .

The IKM Manager will lead results measurement, learning, and reporting for the K-CAN GRAIN project, ensuring high-quality evidence generation, adaptive management, and compliance with MEDA and GAC results-based management standards. The role will support project teams and partners to collect, verify, analyze, and use data to improve program performance and document evidence of systems change, inclusion, resilience, and market outcomes.
Occasional international travel.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
Project IKM Leadership, Results Measurement & Reporting
Lead the design, operationalization, and day-to-day implementation of the K-CAN GRAIN project’s impact and knowledge management systems in alignment with approved project objectives, donor requirements, and MEDA IKM standards.
Develop, adapt, and manage project-level results measurement tools, indicators, trackers, databases, dashboards, and reporting systems to support timely and credible performance monitoring.
Coordinate collection, verification, consolidation, analysis, and reporting of project data from implementing teams and partners, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness of evidence.
Prepare high-quality internal and external performance reports, briefs, and evidence summaries to support project management, donor reporting, and strategic review processes.
Learning & Adaptive Management
Lead the documentation, synthesis, and use of project learning, lessons, good practices, implementation insights, and emerging evidence from K-CAN GRAIN activities and partnerships.
Facilitate structured reflection, pause-and-review sessions, after-action reviews, and learning forums to support adaptive management and continuous improvement of project delivery
Ensure project knowledge products, learning outputs, and evidence are captured and organized in accessible formats for project, regional, and organizational use as appropriate.
Work closely with the Communications function and project leadership to translate evidence and lessons into usable knowledge and visibility products that support donor engagement and stakeholder communication
Data Quality Assurance, Technical Guidance & Evaluation Support
Establish and maintain project data quality assurance processes, including verification protocols, documentation standards, partner reporting checks, and evidence validation procedures.
Provide technical guidance to K-CAN GRAIN staff, partners, consultants, and service providers on project indicators, methodologies, data collection tools, learning processes, and evidence use.
Support the design and implementation of baseline, midline, endline, special studies, evaluations, and other analytical exercises required over the project lifecycle.
Promote the use of appropriate digital and ICT-enabled tools for data capture, analysis, visualization, and reporting in consultation with project leadership and the Regional IKM Lead.
Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration
Ensure K-CAN GRAIN IKM systems, tools, templates, and reporting approaches are aligned with MEDA organizational IKM standards through regular technical consultation with the Regional IKM Lead.
Participate in regional IKM planning, review, and quality assurance processes as required, while maintaining primary accountability for project-level delivery within K-CAN GRAIN .
Contribute project evidence, lessons learned, and technical insights to broader MEDA learning, proposal development, and methodological improvement processes where relevant.
Collaborate closely with the Program Manager, Regional IKM Lead, Communications, Finance, and other technical functions to ensure integrated project planning, reporting, and decision-making.
Any other duties and/or requirements as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor’s-level university degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Economics, International Development, Social Sciences, or related field or an equivalency acquired through formal education, work experience and self- learning.
Experience:
Minimum 7 years’ experience in international development with at least three years’ experience in IM practices
Excellent quantitative/statistical data analysis skills; Demonstrated experience of using ICT and data analysis tools for IM practices (e.g. Dynamics, PowerBI, R, SPSS)
Appreciation and support of MEDA’s mission, vision and values.
Understanding and appreciation of business principles, international development and MEDA’s approach of creating business solutions to poverty.
Strong written and verbal presentation skills
Demonstrated written and analytical skills in program design.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with Regional, Corporate and in Country colleagues as well as with external partners
Excellent consultative skills to work collaboratively and confidently with internal and external stakeholders
Initiative and drive to pursue new ideas and learning within area of expertise
Critical analysis and strategic thinking skills.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work in and with a wide range of cultures and in varying international locales.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fluid and dynamic environment and to adapt to new challenges.
Efficiency in organizing and prioritizing several tasks at once. Strong attention to detail and quality.
Excellent computer skills.
Proficiency in French or Spanish is an asset.
Ability and willingness to travel internationally.
