LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston, Needham, MA and Edison, NJ.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Serve as Survey Lead on complex and high-profile projects across Long Island and the greater New York region</li>\n <li>Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring delivery on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards</li>\n <li>Supervise, mentor, and develop junior surveyors and field crews</li>\n <li>Establish and enforce QA/QC procedures and best practices across all survey operations</li>\n <li>Act as Surveyor of Record, reviewing, signing, and sealing survey documents in accordance with New York State regulations</li>\n <li>Oversee preparation of boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys</li>\n <li>Conduct and review complex deed research, title analysis, and boundary determinations</li>\n <li>Resolve challenging survey and title issues with sound professional judgment</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance with all applicable local, county, and state regulations, particularly across New York and Long Island municipalities</li>\n <li>Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, including developers, engineers, architects, and municipalities</li>\n <li>Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation, scope definition, and fee negotiation</li>\n <li>Identify opportunities for repeat business and contribute to long-term client relationship growth</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Active New York State Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required.</strong> New Jersey Professional Land Surveyor (NJ PLS) license a plus.</li>\n <li>10–15+ years of progressive land surveying experience</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex projects independently</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of boundary law, survey standards, and construction layout practices</li>\n <li>Extensive familiarity with Long Island municipalities, permitting processes, and regulatory requirements</li>\n <li>Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, Microstation, or similar)</li>\n <li>Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills</li>\n <li>Established client relationships or proven business development experience</li>\n <li>Ability to contribute to multi-disciplinary projects (survey + engineering integration)</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to your success, and we invest in your growth and development to unlock your full potential.</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive Total Compensation Package</li>\n <li>Employee- Only Stock Purchase Plan</li>\n <li>Mentoring programs</li>\n <li>Continuing Education Program</li>\n <li>Employee referral bonus</li>\n <li>Volunteer/Industry association opportunities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong><strong>Our Culture:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>- We believe in the power of collaboration.
