At AIT Worldwide Logistics, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused <strong>Operations Agent – Ocean</strong> to join our growing team in Rotterdam. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy coordinating global shipments, this is your opportunity to grow with a world-class logistics provider.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinate day-to-day import and export ocean freight shipments in and out of the Netherlands</li>\n <li>Communicate with customers, carriers, ports, and internal teams to ensure timely loading, departures, and arrivals</li>\n <li>Prepare accurate and profitable shipment quotations based on customer requirements</li>\n <li>Ensure all documentation, certificates, and regulatory requirements are in place for each shipment</li>\n <li>Track shipments, manage exceptions, and proactively resolve delays or issues</li>\n <li>Handle data entry, billing, and compliance for all international ocean operations</li>\n <li>Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to maintain high customer satisfaction</li>\n <li>Ensure adherence to customer SOPs, AIT KPIs, and regulatory standards</li>\n <li>Coordinate with international partners and cartage agents for delivery and recovery</li>\n <li>Support Dangerous Goods shipments in compliance with applicable laws (if applicable)</li>\n <li>Contribute to a safe and secure work environment by reporting risks and suggesting improvements</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li>\n <li>Experience in international freight forwarding (ocean freight preferred)</li>\n <li>Strong problem-solving and organizational skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-volume environment</li>\n <li>Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional European languages are a plus</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); CargoWise experience is a plus</li>\n <li>Familiarity with ITAR, TSA, or Dangerous Goods regulations is an advantage</li>\n <li>Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills</li>\n <li>Quick learner, adaptable, and detail-oriented</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About AIT Worldwide</h2>\n<p>AIT Worldwide Logistics is a global freight forwarding company headquartered in Chicago USA.
