    "description": "<p>Rock West Composites is seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Manufacturing Engineer</span> to support the development and production of high-performance composite structures for DoD, space, and commercial applications.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This role is responsible for defining and executing manufacturing processes from prototype through production, ensuring products meet requirements for quality, cost, and performance. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Program Management, and Production teams to solve complex technical challenges and drive continuous improvement.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is a hands-on role in a small batch, R&amp;D-focused environment, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced settings and enjoys taking ownership of projects from start to finish.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You’ll Own</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manufacturing process development from concept through production<br></li>\n<li>Creation and control of manufacturing documentation (MBOMs, work instructions, travelers, process specs)<br></li>\n<li>Product quality, manufacturability, and process efficiency<br></li>\n<li>Resolution of technical issues on the shop floor<br></li>\n<li>Continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, cycle time, and quality</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What Success Looks Like</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manufacturing processes are clearly defined, controlled, and repeatable<br></li>\n<li>Products are delivered meeting quality, cost, and schedule requirements<br></li>\n<li>Technical issues are resolved quickly with minimal disruption to production<br></li>\n<li>Measurable improvements in cycle time, cost, and product quality<br></li>\n<li>Strong collaboration across Engineering, Production, and Program teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Manufacturing Process Development</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and implement manufacturing methods for new and existing products<br></li>\n<li>Define process flows, material selections, tooling, and fabrication methods<br></li>\n<li>Support product development from prototype through full production</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Documentation &amp; Process Control</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and maintain MBOMs, EBOMs, work instructions, travelers, and process specifications<br></li>\n<li>Ensure manufacturing documentation is accurate, controlled, and production-ready<br></li>\n<li>Support engineering change implementation and configuration control</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Production &amp; Technical Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide daily support to manufacturing and program teams<br></li>\n<li>Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the shop floor<br></li>\n<li>Perform redlines and implement engineering changes to in-process parts<br></li>\n<li>Address MRB conditions and implement corrective actions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Continuous Improvement</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cost, improve quality, and shorten cycle times<br></li>\n<li>Analyze production data to drive efficiency and performance improvements<br></li>\n<li>Support development of scalable and repeatable manufacturing processes</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cross-Functional Collaboration</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Supply Chain<br></li>\n<li>Interface with customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues<br></li>\n<li>Support bids and proposals with manufacturing input, cost estimates, and feasibility</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Training &amp; Mentorship</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support training initiatives and help develop manufacturing capabilities<br></li>\n<li>Mentor junior team members as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You Bring</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience (composites preferred)<br></li>\n<li>Experience supporting products from development through production<br></li>\n<li>Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling, and production workflows</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Technical Expertise</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with composite manufacturing processes (wet layup, autoclave, RTM, compression molding)<br></li>\n<li>Familiarity with AS9100 or similar quality systems<br></li>\n<li>Experience with inspection methods and data acquisition systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills &amp; Capabilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong problem-solving and analytical skills<br></li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment<br></li>\n<li>High attention to detail and strong organizational skills<br></li>\n<li>Effective communication across technical and non-technical teams</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Tools &amp; Systems</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)<br></li>\n<li>Experience with CAD/CAM (SolidWorks preferred)<br></li>\n<li>Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&amp;T</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a U.S. Person (due to ITAR requirements)</li>\n<li>Ability to pass background check and drug screening</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp;
