    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;text-align:center;' id=\"isPasted\"><br></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong><u><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>POSITION SUMMARY</span></u></strong><strong><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>:</span></strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>This position requires experience with the operation and maintenance of underground utilities to perform repairs, replacement, and rehabilitation via excavation work, pipe inspection and cleaning using specialized in-pipe equipment, and preventive maintenance to maintain the sanitary and storm sewer facilities owned by the City of Reading.</span></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><br></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><br></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>Typical duties may include but are not limited to:</span></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Responsible for performing all aspects related to excavation, inspection, &amp; repair work pertaining to the City&rsquo;s sanitary and storm sewer systems, including using any hand or power tools and operating heavy equipment necessary to complete the job.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Must be able to operate a combination sewer mobile line cleaning equipment such as vac/jetter truck independently</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Must be able to operate the in-pipe televisual inspection equipment hardware and software using industry-standard criteria and provide printed and/or electronic reports to supervision</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Responsible for providing accurate daily work performance reports used for PA DEP reporting to supervision</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Perform other duties as may be assigned</span></li></ul><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;color:black;margin-left:.5in;'><span style='font-size:13px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>&nbsp;</span></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;'><strong><u><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span></u></strong></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:16px;font-family:\"Times New Roman\",serif;color:black;'><strong><em><span style='font-size:13px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'>Educational Requirements/Experience</span></em></strong></p><ul class=\"decimal_type\" style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Class B CDL PA driver&rsquo;s license with air brakes/tanker endorsement is required.</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>PA DEP Class E Collection System certification (E-4) is required within two years of hire.</span></li><li><em><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Employees who acquire PA DEP Class E Collection System certification receive $0.50 per hour increase.</span></em></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>NASSCO PACP certification is preferred. &nbsp;</span></li><li><em><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Employees who acquire NASSCO PACP certification receive a $1.00 per hour increase.</span></em></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>A minimum of two years&rsquo; experience with underground utility excavation work, including deep excavations, with other utilities in proximity is required.</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Prior experience with the operation of appropriate mobile heavy equipment including dump truck, backhoe, front end loader, and tanker truck is required.</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>A background with CCTV inspection work is preferred.</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Previous combination vac/jetter truck experience is preferred.</span></li><li><span style='font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;font-size:13px;'>Confined Space entry and trenching &amp; shoring background is preferred.
