    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Title: </span>Construction Supervisor</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Location: </span>Logansport / Lafayette</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Type: </span>Full Time / Hourly / Salary / Non-Exempt</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation: </span>$90,000 - $110,000</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Summary:</span></p>\n<p>Steinberger Construction specializes in industrial construction projects, from steel erection and concrete work to plant expansions and warehouse upgrades. We take pride in safe, efficient, and quality work that allows our SCI Team along with our clients to build the future together!</p>\n<p>SCI is currently looking for an experienced Industrial Construction Supervisor to lead our crews in the field and manage construction projects, ensuring that they are on time and on budget.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct and coordinate daily operations on industrial construction jobsites</li>\n<li>Supervise craftworkers, tradesmen and laborers to maintain productivity and quality</li>\n<li>Ensure that work is performed in the scope of the project and start the change order process or get field work orders if it is not</li>\n<li>Track tools and equipment, monitor use and work with the shop to manage needs.</li>\n<li>Report manpower for the next week no later than 12:00pm noon on Wednesdays</li>\n<li>Perform quality control for all work</li>\n<li>Perform cost control to ensure the job is on/under budget</li>\n<li>Responsible for housekeeping of project</li>\n<li>Meet critical deadlines</li>\n<li>Responsible for weekly planning to ensure that materials are ordered that manpower is sufficient, and that future milestones will be met.</li>\n<li>Interpret construction drawings, layout, and perform work in accordance with plans and specifications</li>\n<li>Perform layout with use of Trimble robotic layout equipment</li>\n<li>Oversee and direct subcontractors daily/weekly</li>\n<li>Complete weekly reports, timecards, and other paperwork in a timely manner</li>\n<li>Participating in bi-monthly Supervisor Meetings and Supervisor Training</li>\n<li>Attend and/or lead weekly Progress Meetings with the PM and subcontractors, complete with meeting minutes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Safety Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for jobsite safety and must have a thorough knowledge of safety hazards and procedures</li>\n<li>Ensure that JHAs and daily safety inspections are performed</li>\n<li>Conduct safety Toolbox Talk meetings on job sites</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsible for crew members:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Direct crew members to efficiently accomplish the work</li>\n<li>Ensure that employees are adhering to company policies</li>\n<li>Orienting new employees to the job site</li>\n<li>Approve crew mileage requests</li>\n<li>Approve crew On the Job Training (OJT) hours</li>\n<li>Address minor disciplinary issues and contact management for more serious issues</li>\n<li>Document minor disciplinary issues and report to Chief Development Officer and Chief Operations Officer</li>\n<li>Assign tasks to lead men or to crew members</li>\n<li>Maintain productivity of crew</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience and Certifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of supervisory experience in industrial construction (steel, concrete or related)</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of industrial construction methods, equipment, terminology, and materials</li>\n<li>Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct large crews</li>\n<li>OSHA-30 certification strongly preferred</li>\n<li>Scaffolding Competent Person</li>\n<li>Fall Protection Competent Person</li>\n<li>Excavation/Trenching Competent Person</li>\n<li>Confined Space Competent Person</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Abilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stand and walk for 4-hour periods</li>\n<li>Work outside in extreme temperatures</li>\n<li>Climb ladders and stairs</li>\n<li>Work from heights in manlifts, from scaffolding, and on roofs.
