Cortex equipment management and order fulfillment software controls OPEX’s robotic automation equipment and acts as the brains of a fulfillment operation. Database interaction plays a central role in this application suite. Proficiency in this area is a core requirement for this role. This position will be responsible for designing new schemas and PL/PGSQL functions to ensure data consistency while allowing for deeply customizable business logic to meet each customer’s unique requirements. We subscribe to the philosophy of “smart database, thin clients” which places a significant portion of the application logic in the database. This is a coding position, not a DBA role. The candidate will require strong software development skills to pair with their database knowledge. &nbsp;This position can be based in either Plano, TX or Moorestown, NJ.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>The Company</strong></p>\n<p>OPEX is a global leader in robotic warehouse automation system design, development, manufacturing, production, installation, and service. Take what you learn and challenge status quo.</li>\n <li>Participate in agile ceremonies as a member of the database scrum team.</li>\n <li>Improve quality and efficiency, in part by expanding use of automated testing.</li>\n <li>Deliver large, complex projects with quality.</li>\n <li>Coordinate multiple high priority tasks.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Skills &amp; Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, related field, or relevant experience.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Technical/Engineering experience in a software development organization 0-10 yrs.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Experience developing new products is strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Experience developing, coding, and interfacing with relational databases.</li>\n <li>PostgreSQL and PL/PGSQL preferred. Familiarity with other database environments is welcome as well.</li>\n <li>Domain knowledge in Material Handling, Warehouse Automation or Industrial segment is strongly preferred.</li>\n <li>Exceptional listening, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and written communication skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to travel when necessary (typically less than 20%).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Salary range of $70,000 - $120,000 based on experience.</p>",
