We provide a safe and secure working environment for our staff<strong>&nbsp;</strong>while helping non-citizens gain valuable skills and treatment necessary for success upon release.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>What you'll do: </strong>You'll be responsible for specialized clerical functions in the maintenance of detainee medical records in compliance with MTC and customer directives.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions: &nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li>Receive and document medications, abiding by applicable state and national regulations.</li>\n <li>Ensure drug room security, replace facility working drug stock and maintain the upkeep of the facility drug room and pharmaceutical equipment.</li>\n <li>Enter medication compliance into the pharmacy computer system.&nbsp; Ensure that MARS are accurate and recopied as required.</li>\n <li>Practice basic cost containment and utilization management for patient care and facility operations.&nbsp; Perform quality assurance on all medication orders, narcotic/sharps counts, and MARS as applicable,</li>\n <li>Maintain a current inventory of all supplies at established PAR levels.</li>\n <li>Re-order needed supplies, ensuring all purchase orders are maintained in a log book.&nbsp; Match all invoices to purchase orders to ensure all items have been received.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Set, with appropriate guidance, and maintain PAR levels.&nbsp; Maintain all pharmacy orders, logs and documentation.</li>\n <li>Serve on call for issues with pharmacy or pill call.</li>\n <li>Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records; observe applicable HIPAA rules.</li>\n <li>Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques.</li>\n <li>Maintain accountability of staff, detainees and property; adhere to safety practices.</li>\n</ol>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience Requirements: &nbsp;</strong></p>\n<ol>\n <li><span>Graduate from an approved Pharmacy Tech program.</span></li>\n <li><span>Must have valid registration in state of California.</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum of one (1) year pharmacy technician experience.</span></li>\n <li><span>Must possess current CPR certification.</span></li>\n <li><span>Must be at least 21 years of age.</span></li>\n <li><span>Valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.</span></li>\n</ol>\n<p><strong>Post Hire Requirements: &nbsp;</strong>Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance. &nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Why:</strong>&nbsp;Make a positive impact in your community by doing meaningful work that results in a rewarding career.</p>\n<p>Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
