What your role will look like Provide support to the Service department, as needed, to include the following functions: Perform tank swaps and inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. Perform cathodic testing of underground tanks and DOT tank inspections. Operate crane truck for setting, installing, and transporting propane tanks. Assist certified Service and Installation Technicians with equipment installation. Willingness to obtain a CDL license Unload propane from vehicle, which includes pulling up to 150 feet of delivery hose. Support Eastern’s policies and procedures by maintaining required licensure and meeting DOT and SOP standards. Remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner, including reporting any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately. Demonstrate a commitment to safety by engaging in safety meetings, safety training, and safety refreshers, alerting supervisor to unsafe actions, and modeling safety-conscious practices. Perform leak checks in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code #58 and restart system appliances. Install and maintain tank monitors. Maintain organized and professional standards and appearance in dress, hygiene, cleanliness of vehicle. Perform maintenance of facility during off-season including painting, mowing, trimming, raking, weeding, tank preparation, tank evacuation, and meter reading. Be receptive to and successfully complete other duties as assigned. What you’ll bring to this role Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Age requirement: minimum of 21 years old. Licensure/Certification: Valid licensing that meets state requirements to work on propane fired equipment Submit to and pass DOT physical. Submit to and pass DOT drug and alcohol tests. Proven history of a safe driving record and must maintain same. Knowledge of the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54) and Storage and Handling of Liquefied Propane Gas (NFPA 58).
