    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p>Performs a variety of tasks related to</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traffic control.</li>\n<li>Pothole patching.</li>\n<li>Roadside clean-up.<br></li>\n<li>Work with basin, tree and pavement repair crews.</li>\n<li>Winter operations (salting and plowing).</li>\n<li>Operate a vehicle (with or without trailer) greater than 26,000 lbs. GVWR - service and maintain equipment.</li>\n<li>May operate various pieces of equipment such as a chipper, chainsaw and tractor.</li>\n<li>Dependent on experience and evaluation, may be asked to operate various pieces of heavy equipment such as shoulder maintainer, grader, loader, etc.</li>\n<li>Work collaboratively in the best and safest method to complete the day's work.</li>\n<li>Perform all duties in a citizen-service oriented manner, adhering to all safety and Board policies, regulations or procedures, including pre and post trip vehicle and equipment inspections.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must be willing to work in extreme weather conditions (both hot and cold).</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Must be willing to work a minimum of overtime offered monthly, with <span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">October 1 through March 31 requiring 50% and April 1 through September 30 requiring 30%.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>In the winter, this position will require \"double shifts\" for up to 16 hours.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Position frequently requires repetitive body movement including bending, twisting, stopping, crouching, kneeling, grasping, holding and extended periods of standing.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Position occasionally requires the ability to move, push or pull objects up to 90 pounds, lift 20 pounds overhead, 40 pounds to shoulder level and 60 pounds to waist level.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Position requires the use of power tools, exposure to vibrations and occasional work at varying levels of height.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Special Experience/Education</span></p>\n<p>A High School Diploma is required.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>A valid Michigan Commercial Driver's License <span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">(CDL-A) </span><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">with an Air-brake endorsement is required.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>One to three (1-3) years of construction related experience is preferred.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>*Anyone applying for this position must be willing to accept placement at any one of our six locations within Oakland County.*</p>\n<p>(Milford, Davisburg, Lake Orion, Waterford, Southfield, Troy)</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Disclosure</span>: This position is within a bargaining unit and the individual that holds this position is subject to the terms and conditions of the existing collective bargaining agreement.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to lift 50 pounds.</li>\n<li>Work outdoors in various weather conditions.</li>\n<li>Able to stand for extended periods of time.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Disclaimer</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a Valid Driver's License.</li>\n<li>Attractive benefits package.</li>\n<li>EOE/ADA/Drug Free Workplace</li>\n</ul>",
