PRN: 8:00am-4:00pm (days vary)
Summary
The Exercise Physiologist (Cardiac Rehabilitation) assumes a dynamic leadership role on the interdisciplinary patient care teams. This individual identifies patient care needs, develops a plan of care and goals in collaboration with the patient, provides care within the scope of practice, provides education and support to patients/families, and facilitates continuing care planning.
The EP participates in staff management, cost management, and professional practice activities. The EP is responsible for demonstrating excellent customer service and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the department.
Essential Duties & Functions
Evaluates, educates, treats, documents, delegates, and discharges patients per service guidelines. Engages in interdisciplinary patient care management. Bills appropriately for services provided as indicated through matching of documentation and service charges. Provides patient/family education. Participates in programs/service performance improvement activities. Manages case load per department standards. Engages in patient satisfaction efforts and looks for opportunities to ensure that all patients have a satisfying experience. Passes all required hospital/department competencies and related testing; applies to everyday performance.

Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience Preferred experience: 1-3 years of job-related experience. Other experience requirements: Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehabilitation
